About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Tempe, Arizona, Mijana invites diners on an authentic culinary journey through Lebanon and the broader Middle East. This vibrant Lebanese restaurant, bar & grill, and Mediterranean eatery offers a rich tapestry of flavors that artfully blend tradition with contemporary flair. Whether you're craving the smoky allure of grilled meats or the comforting warmth of a well-made lentil soup, Mijana crafts each dish with passion and care.

At the center of Mijana’s menu is the Mijana Mix Grill for Two, a lavish feast featuring perfectly seasoned chicken, beef, and kofta, each bite infused with the signature spices of the region. Accompanying these are irresistible staples like silky Hummus Chicken Shawarma, fresh and crunchy Falafel, and the ever-popular Pita Bread Basket, ideal for dipping into creamy, tangy hummus. Vegetable lovers will delight in the Vegetarian Platter and the crisp, refreshing Greek Salad, while other highlights include hearty favorites such as the Lamb Shank—slowly braised until meltingly tender—and the Chicken Biryani, bursting with fragrant spices and bursts of sweetness from raisins and nuts.

Mijana’s kitchen is also uniquely creative in bringing Middle Eastern flavors into unexpected forms, such as their mouthwatering pizzas. The BBQ Chicken Pizza, layered with chicken shawarma, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and mozzarella, showcases a delightful fusion of Mediterranean zest and American comfort. The lighter Pesto & Veggies Pizza with feta and an herbaceous drizzle offers a fresh twist, while traditional favorites like the Cheese Pizza and the fragrant Zaatar & Cheese Pizza cater to simpler cravings. And for a truly authentic experience, the Mankoucha Zaatar Pizza delivers an herby, savory punch at a surprisingly affordable price.

The dining atmosphere at Mijana radiates warmth and hospitality. Guests frequently commend the attentive, personalized service—like Jacob, a server known for thoughtful menu guidance and genuine care, who has helped families and newcomers alike feel right at home. Beyond the meal, Mijana adds a lively cultural dimension with belly dance performances on Friday and Saturday evenings, enriching your dinner with a memorable blend of food, music, and entertainment.

My wife and I tried Mijana for the first time tonight! Everything was great! Our server, Jacob, was so nice, and helpful! He helped make suggestions on the menu and went over all the drinks they had to offer. We had the Mijana grill for two, and it was amazing. The chicken, beef, and kofta were all perfectly seasoned, and don't get me started on the garlic sauce! This is a great venue with great music, delicious food, and stiff drinks! Next time we'll have to have table side hookah as well! Come have a great time like we did!

Went for a cooking class. I was expecting to actually cook, not just watch someone make a few items. The hummus was incredible. Chicken schwarma was nice. There was a belly dancing show that was very good.

Made reservations for 15 out of town family members. We arrived and greeted by owner. Jacob(our personal server) showed us to our table (which was perfectly set up so we could all enjoy each other) brought water over and I asked for recommended appetizers that we can start off with. He recommended 3 plates of baba/hummus/tabouleh and had them prepared and brought out within minutes and also brought freshly made pita bread that was hot and amazing along with a zatar/olive oil/pomegranate syrup dip(for the bread) that was unique. Jacob explained in detail the ingredients of each dish ordered (since some had dietary restrictions) and suggested the house specialties. Jacob was very attentive to the table needs and answered all questions in detail. Jacob was aware of a birthday and once everyone was finished with our meals (he boxed the leftovers)he cleared the table, refilled all drinks, offered coffee and while preparing a fresh pot he brought out a cake for the birthday girl and played a traditional birthday song (which was very special). The food was amazing (we are all Lebanese) and felt right at home. Jacob made the night truly memorable. I have eaten hear many times(local) and my family really enjoyed the evening (4 hrs of no rush pleasure). And best of all “the Dodgers won the World Series! Thank you Jacob

I tried to call this place and the recording said to leave a message or email. Nobody responded. My aunt used to be a professional dancer and I wanted her to experience the whole dance show experience. We came on Sunday and there’s no dancing. Only Fridays at 7:30pm and Saturdays at 7:30 and 10pm. The food was delicious and the ambiance was beautiful. We’ll try again now that we know when the dancing starts. I hope this helps potential patrons.

I recently celebrated my birthday here, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. A huge thank you to the owner for helping create such a special memory, and to all that work there for being so warm and hospitable — they made sure every detail was perfect. From the appetizers to the cocktails, entrées, and desserts, everything was outstanding. The atmosphere, music, and service all came together to make it one of the best places I’ve ever been. Whether you’re planning a date night, a casual lunch, or even hosting an event, I highly recommend this restaurant. They take care of everything and make you feel so welcome. Thank you to the owner Mensna.
